A powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Japan’s Kumamoto Prefecture, injuring more than 50 people and forcing over 150,000 residents to evacuate. Russia has launched another devastating missile assault on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, in one of the deadliest attacks in recent weeks. The large-scale ballistic missile strike triggered multiple explosions across the city, leaving at least nine people dead and 28 others injured, including four children, according to Ukrainian officials.

One of the missiles struck the Bucha district of Kyiv, igniting a massive warehouse fire that sent thick black smoke into the sky. Dramatic footage released by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service shows firefighters battling the intense blaze as emergency crews rushed to prevent the flames from spreading further.
