At the start of your job interview, you will have to introduce yourself. The hiring manager will say, Welcome to the interview. Please introduce yourself.

If you give a weak introduction, you will not get hired.

In this video, to help you, I will give you brilliant tips, sample structures and fantastic introductions that will help you easily beat the competition.

Please hit the subscribe button, give the video a thumbs up and also tell me the name of the job you are being interviewed for in the comments section below the video so I can give you some extra tips.

Tip number one is to keep your job interview introduction to less than 60 seconds in duration. 00:53
It does not need to be any longer than that. The hiring manager will want to ask you lots of different questions, so your introduction should be focused and concise.

Tip number two is to keep your introduction professional and work-related. 01:11
Do not talk about your family, friends, any personal problems you have, or what you get up to outside of work.

Tip number three for giving a great job interview introduction is to make sure you use a structure. 01:26
You should talk about either three or four things in your introduction. Very soon, I will give you two sample structures to choose from. When you use a structure, it tells the hiring manager you have good communication skills.

Tip number four for giving the perfect interview introduction is to make sure you practice it several times before your interview. 01:52
The hiring manager wants to assess your communication skills, so if you practice your answer, that will help get the interview off to a confident start.

In the next section of this training video, I am going to go over to my training screen and give you two sample structures you can use when introducing yourself in your interview. All you have to do is choose the one structure you think is the best.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF (PPP) STRUCTURE 02:30
Structure number one for introducing yourself in an interview consists of three things. Write these down. This is called the P.P.P structure for job interview introductions.

When they say to you, please introduce yourself, begin your answer and talk about your PAST. Briefly talk about any previous job roles held or your educational background.

Then move on to P number two. Tell the hiring manager what you are doing right now in the PRESENT. Talk about your current job role and responsibilities, or details of any certifications or qualifications you are studying for, and then finish your introduction by telling the hiring manager what your PLANS are for the future.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF (SEAT) STRUCTURE 03:46
Structure number two consists of four things as follows. Write this down. This is called my S.E.A.T structure for job interview introductions. It’s my favorite structure because it is very easy to remember. You will be sitting down on a seat at your interview, and you will then talk about the following four things.

S stands for the SKILLS you have that match the job description. Quickly read the job descriptions before your interview and align your skills with those contained in that important document.

E stands for the EXPERIENCE you can bring to their company. If this is your first ever job role, change experience for your educational background.

A is very important when introducing yourself. You will give the hiring manager details of any ACHIEVEMENTS you have attained in life so far. This tells the hiring manager you have a track record of success.

T stands for the TYPE of Person you are, and again, what you will do in the role to add value to the company.

Sample Answer Introduce Yourself (PPP structure) 05:40
Sample Answer Introduce Yourself (SEAT structure) 06:50

HOW TO ANSWER THE TOP 10 HARDEST INTERVIEW QUESTIONS! (TIPS, EXPLANATIONS & PROVEN ANSWERS!)

HOW TO ANSWER THE TOP 10 HARDEST INTERVIEW QUESTIONS! (TIPS, EXPLANATIONS & PROVEN ANSWERS!) https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=ehGC2us11lQJDX1x #jobinterview #interview #interviewquestions #interviewpreparation #interviewtips

Q1. Tell me about yourself. 01:06
This is the most common opening interview question, but many candidates ramble or repeat their CV instead of delivering a concise, structured introduction. Your communication skills are being assessed, so keep your answer professional and to a maximum of 60 seconds.

I also recommend you talk about these 4 things:
• SKILLS
• EXPERIENCE
• ACHIEVEMENTS
• TYPE OF PERSON YOU ARE
Those 4 things stand for SEAT – S.E.A.T, and you can easily remember my SEAT structure for, tell me about yourself because you will be sitting down on a SEAT at your job interview.

Q2. Why should we hire you? 04:28
You need to explain the value you will bring to the company rather than simply saying you are hardworking or experienced. I recommend you say they should hire you for 3 reasons – not one.

Q3. Tell me about a time you failed or made a mistake. 07:08
Hiring managers are not looking for perfection – they want someone who is accountable, willing to learn and resilient when things go wrong. Do not say you have never failed or made a mistake. If you do, you will not get hired! Here’s the perfect answer and the script to write down.

Q4. How would you handle a conflict with a co-worker? 09:11
Hiring managers want to assess whether you are capable of resolving disagreements calmly and constructively.

Q5. What’s your biggest weakness? 11:00
Do not say you don’t have any weaknesses. We all have weaknesses. My weakness is that I am a very impatient person, but the positive is that I always get lots more work completed than the average person. Give a safe weakness and explain what you are doing to improve.

Q6. Why do you want to work for our company? 12:30
Generic answers about salary or location won’t score well in any interview. Employers want genuine motivation and evidence that you’ve researched them.
Good reasons to give for why you want to work for their company include:

• Their track record of success.
• Their core values, and…
• How they support their employees so they can reach their full potential.

Q7. Why do you want to leave your current job? 14:42
In some ways, this is a trick question – if you say anything negative about your employer, you won’t get hired because the interviewer will think it’s you who has the problem – be respectful, positive and professional.

Q8. Where do you see yourself in five years? 17:22
I know, from first-hand experience, it takes a lot of time and energy to find someone suitable for a job role – once they start work, you have to spend time training them. If a candidate gives any indication they will be working elsewhere in 5 years’ time, I will not hire them.

Q9. What are your salary expectations? 19:15
You must research the salary for the role you are applying for before the interview – use a website such as GlassDoor.com to find the going rate for the role and company. Before your interview, know exactly the salary you would like and ask and deliver your answer with confidence.

Q10. Do you have any questions? 20:05
This is a make-or-break question – Do not ask questions about salary, time off or perks of the job. Top-performing candidates ask intelligent questions about the role or company.

HOW TO WRITE A CV OR RESUME PERSONAL STATEMENT THAT GETS YOU HIRED! (+ FREE Template)

HOW TO WRITE A CV OR RESUME PERSONAL STATEMENT THAT GETS YOU HIRED! (+ FREE Template) My CV Writing Service: https://cvmadeeasy.co.uk/ #cv #resume #personalstatement #cvtips #resumetips

I am going to give a brilliant, attention-grabbing CV personal statement that will get you invited to interview.

My name is Richard McMunn, and I have been a hiring manager for more than 30 years – I see many CVs and resumes, and they all have the same problem – the applicant has clearly used AI to write it, and they all look the same!

How long should your CV personal statement be? 02:03
Well, it should be no longer than 150 words. 150 words is long enough to communicate your value but short enough to scan quickly. Your personal statement must cover these 3 areas:

1. WHO ARE YOU? → Your professional identity or level.
2. WHAT CAN YOU OFFER? → Your strongest relevant skills, experience, and evidence.
3. HOW YOU WILL ADD VALUE → The impact you can make in the role.

Keep your personal statement to a maximum of 150 words.

3 CV personal statement mistakes you must avoid. 02:52

Mistake #1: Using generic statements with no evidence
For example:
“I am a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual who works well independently and as part of a team.”

That statement tells me, as a hiring manager, nothing of value because thousands of candidates use the same language. Instead, write something like this:

“A commercially aware and results-driven professional with five years’ experience in customer service and sales. Recognised as Employee of the Month for exceeding performance targets and improving customer satisfaction, evidenced by consistent five-star reviews and positive customer feedback.”

Mistake #2: Writing a personal statement that could apply to any job
One of the biggest mistakes I see is candidates using the same personal statement for every application. For example, if you are applying for a Project Manager role, I should immediately see evidence of project delivery, stakeholder management, budgets, deadlines and results. Tailor your personal statement to the job role, and your chances of getting invited to interview will skyrocket.

Mistake #3: Focusing on what YOU want instead of what the employer NEEDS
Avoid statements such as:

“I am looking for an exciting opportunity to develop my skills and progress my career.”

Instead, write something that demonstrates your focus on helping the company or organisation:

“I am committed to using my skills and experience to support [INSERT COMPANY NAME]’s objectives, contribute to team success, and help achieve its goal of becoming the market leader.”

3 powerful tips for writing the perfect CV personal statement
TIP 1 – Start with a strong professional identity
For example:

“A commercially focused and results-driven Sales Manager with 8 years’ experience…”

Or:

“A highly organised and customer-focused professional with proven experience in exceeding customer expectations and increasing sales.”

These opening statements give the hiring manager instant context.

TIP 2 – Mirror the language of the job description
Doing this helps improve relevance and quickly shows the hiring manager or the Applicant Tracking System that you are a close match for the role.

TIP 3 – Include proof, not just claims
Do not just say you are good. Give the hiring manager a reason to believe you.

A weak example is this:

“An excellent salesperson with strong communication skills.”

A strong alternative is this:

“A results-driven sales professional with a track record of exceeding annual targets by 15%.”

Always remember: Adding numbers to your personal statement instantly adds credibility.
