Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the U.S.-backed 15-point Gaza reconstruction and disarmament plan proposed by the Board of Peace, declaring that Israeli forces will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed.

Netanyahu said Israel rejects the plan and insisted that Hamas must surrender all weapons, including heavy, medium and light weaponry. He also ruled out the establishment of a Palestinian state under his government.

The rejection comes despite reports that Hamas had accepted elements of the proposed roadmap and called on the United States to pressure Israel to move forward with the next phase of the Gaza plan.

Shakib Al Hasan’s ancestral home in Magura was attacked just hours after Sheikh Hasina’s press conference in Delhi. Protesters smashed windows, threw petrol bombs and set part of the house on fire. More than 380,000 residents across eight regions in the Philippines have been affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. At least 110,000 families have been impacted, while the death toll remains at six and seven people have been injured.

Heavy rainfall has triggered severe flooding, landslides and rockslides across several areas. Officials said two deaths were caused by landslides, two by rockslides, and the others by drowning and electrocution. At least 148 houses have been damaged, including 10 that were completely destroyed.

A red rainfall warning remains in force for several areas, including Metro Manila, as authorities assist residents in low-lying areas with evacuations and relocation. 86 evacuation centres have been established, sheltering around 7,300 people, while thousands more are staying outside designated evacuation centres.
