A dramatic incident unfolded in Wenzhou, eastern China, after Typhoon Bavi triggered powerful high tides that caused the non-operational cruise vessel Mingzhu No. 7 to tilt sharply at its dock. Eyewitness videos captured panicked onlookers running for safety as the ship leaned heavily to one side, sparking fears that it could capsize. According to Wenzhou Mingzhu Cruise Co., the vessel was docked at the Yangfushan Puxi berthing platform when rising tides caused the listing on July 14. The company said it immediately activated its emergency response plan and confirmed that the ship was not in operation at the time of the incident.
