Hello and welcome back to The Lowdown where today Dougie Critchley and Michael McCubbin are joined by Sky Sports’ senior football journalist Pete Smith, to make sense of Liverpool’s BIGGEST problems this season.

9 defeats in their last 12 games, 3 successive defeats, including their latest to PSV in the Champions League by at least 3 goals, Arne Slot is under immense pressure months on from winning Liverpool’s 2nd Premier League title.

Does Mo Salah need to be dropped? How should he get the best out of Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak? Is Alexis Mac Allister worth persisting with? Should they consider changing formation?

That’s not it though… today we also analyse the issues facing Spurs, Man United and Man City. Should Spurs sign Antoine Semenyo this January to replace Son Heung-Min? Does Ruben Amorim need to ask more of Luke Shaw in possession? Could he re-introduce Kobbie Mainoo? And for City, does Pep Guardiola finally need to look beyond Bernardo Silva?
