HOW TO WRITE A BRILLIANT ATS-FRIENDLY CV | Top Tips + Best Structure + Personal Statement + Keywords

HOW TO WRITE A BRILLIANT ATS-FRIENDLY CV Top Tips + Best Structure + Personal Statement + Keywords #cv #cvtemplate #cvtips #jobinterview #careervidz https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=Ez36G235I2YwwImL
*** CV WRITING TUTORIAL SECTIONS ***
WHAT IS ATS? 00:10
9 ATS-FRIENDLY CV WRITING TIPS 01:40
CV SECTIONS 05:43
CV PERSONAL STATEMENT 07:22
10 CV ACTION VERBS 12:17

9 CV WRITING TIPS TO GET YOU HIRED
✅ Tip 1. MAKE SURE YOU USE A CLEAN, SIMPLE CV LAYOUT!
Make sure you avoid complicated designs, tables, columns, text boxes, images and graphics. The Applicant Tracking Systems cannot read these, and you will get rejected.

✅ TIP 2. USE A STANDARD FONT
I strongly recommend you stick to an ATS-friendly CV font such as Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, or Times New Roman. The size of your font should be either 10 or 12 – use the same size throughout your CV for best results.

✅ TIP 3. USE SIMPLE CV SECTION HEADINGS
I strongly recommend you use headings that ATS recognises. Later in this training lesson, I will reveal which sections you must use on your CV.

✅ TIP 4. MAKE SURE YOU USE KEYWORDS FROM THE JOB DESCRIPTION.
This is very important. Applicant Tracking Systems look for role-specific terms. Copy important keywords directly from the job advert to increase your chances of success.

And by the way, if you would like me to write your CV for you based on my 30 years’ experience as a hiring manager and recruitment expert, check out the link to my website CVMadeEasy.co.uk in the top comment below this video.

✅ TIP 5. MAKE SURE YOUR CV IS ERROR-FREE.
This is very important! If your CV contains spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes, it will get rejected. If you can’t write correct English, the hiring manager will assume that you cannot meet the basic requirements of the job role – which are good communication skills and attention to detail.

✅ TIP 6. SUBMIT YOUR CV IN THE CORRECT FORMAT
Unless the employer or job advert says otherwise, send your CV as a Word document. The majority of Applicant Tracking Systems struggle to read PDFs.

✅ TIP 7. USE BULLET POINTS WHEN LISTING ACHIEVEMENTS
ATS reads bullet points well, and hiring managers love them too, because they are quick and easy to read.

✅ TIP 8. USE ‘NUMBERS’ ON YOUR CV TO VALIDATE ACHIEVEMENTS
Numbers are ATS-friendly, they will grab the attention of the hiring manager, and they also boost credibility. For example:

“Reduced errors by 30%”
“Handled 40+ calls per day”
“Delivered projects 2 weeks early”

Numbers are a great way to make your CV stand out and get past ATS!

✅ TIP 9. TAILOR YOUR CV FOR EVERY JOB APPLICATION
One of the biggest mistakes candidates make when applying for jobs is that they use the same CV for every application. A “one CV fits all” approach always fails to get past the Applicant Tracking System, so make sure you tailor yours for the specific job role you are applying for.

7 PSYCHOLOGY HACKS That Will Get You HIRED! (Job Interview Secrets!)

7 PSYCHOLOGY HACKS That Will Get You HIRED! (Job Interview Secrets!) Learn how to pass a job interview by using 7 unknown secrets that will impress the hiring manager! https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=pn47alf1-qam6-HU #psychologyhacks #jobinterview #jobinterviewtips #interviewquestions #interviewtips
*** 7 PSYCHOLOGY HACKS IN ADDITION TO THE ONES I TEACH IN THE VIDEO ***
If you want to get hired faster, you don’t just need better interview answers — you need to understand the psychology of what hiring managers look for. Interviews are not only about skills… they’re about trust, confidence, and likability.

HOW TO ANSWER TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF WITH CONFIDENCE: https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=q6wAlYcka2ZSmqL6

In this guide, you’ll learn 7 psychology hacks that instantly increase your impact, help you stand out, and persuade interviewers that you are the best person for the job.

1. Use the “First 30 Seconds” Rule
Hiring managers often form a first impression within the first 30 seconds of meeting you. Your goal is to appear calm, professional, and confident.

Hack: Walk in with good posture, smile, make eye contact, and give a firm handshake (if appropriate). Start with:
“Thank you for inviting me today — I’m genuinely excited about this role.”

That one line signals confidence, enthusiasm, and respect.

2. The “Similarity Effect” (Subtle Mirroring)
People naturally trust those who feel familiar. That’s why mirroring is so powerful when done subtly and professionally.

Hack: Match their pace of speech and energy level. If they speak slowly, slow down. If they are upbeat, increase your positivity.
Also mirror language: if they say “customer-focused,” use the same phrase in your answers.

This creates instant rapport without you trying too hard.

3. Speak in Outcomes, Not Tasks
Most candidates describe what they did. Top candidates describe the results they produced.

Hack: Use this structure:
Action + Metric + Result

Example:
“I reduced customer complaints by 18% by improving response times and redesigning our support process.”

This triggers the interviewer’s brain to see you as a problem-solver.

4. The “Confidence Pause” Trick
Nervous candidates rush their words, over-explain, and weaken their message. Confident people pause, think, and speak clearly.

Hack: Before answering, pause for two seconds.
Then start with:
“That’s a great question — here’s how I would approach it…”

That tiny pause makes you appear composed, intelligent, and in control.

5. Use the STAR Method (Because the Brain Loves Stories)
Humans are wired to remember stories. A strong STAR answer makes you more memorable than candidates who list facts.

Hack: Use STAR for every behavioural interview question:
Situation
Task
Action
Result

Then finish with a powerful line:
“Looking back, that experience strengthened my ability to stay calm, take ownership, and deliver results under pressure.”

6. Make Them Picture You in the Role
The interviewer’s goal is to reduce risk. If you make it easy for them to visualize you performing the job, you become the obvious choice.

Hack: Use future-focused language:
“If you hire me, in the first 30 days I will learn your systems fast, build relationships with key stakeholders, and look for quick wins.”

This is persuasive because it turns your interview into a preview of your performance.

7. Close the Interview Like a Professional
Most candidates end weakly with “Thanks for your time.” High performers finish like they’re ready to contribute.

Hack: Use this closing statement:
“I’m very excited about this position. Based on what we’ve discussed, I’m confident I can add value quickly. Is there anything I can clarify that would help you feel 100% comfortable hiring me?”

This shows leadership, confidence, and commitment.

Final Thought – Job interviews are psychological. The best candidates understand that hiring managers want someone who is capable, confident, and easy to work with.

Use these 7 psychology hacks and you will instantly improve your interview performance, increase trust, and dramatically boost your chance of getting hired.
