Psychological Test: Can You Read People? #test
The Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test (RMET) is a psychological assessment designed to measure a person’s ability to understand and interpret the emotions or mental states of others by observing only their eyes. It is used as a tool to evaluate “theory of mind”, or the capacity to recognize and infer the thoughts, feelings, and intentions of others.
Structure of the Test:
In the RMET, participants are presented with a series of black-and-white photographs showing only the eye region (from above the nose to the eyebrows) of different individuals. For each image, participants are asked to select which of four emotional or mental state terms (e.g., thoughtful, anxious, irritated, amused) best describes the expression in the person’s eyes.
Purpose and Use:
The test primarily assesses social cognition, and it has been widely used in research on autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other conditions that may affect social understanding. People with ASD, for instance, often score lower on this test, suggesting difficulties with reading subtle emotional cues. However, the RMET has also been used to study empathy, emotional intelligence, and social interaction capabilities in broader populations.
Strengths and Limitations:
Strengths: The RMET isolates emotional recognition purely through the eyes, providing a focused measure of theory of mind skills. It is simple, quick to administer, and cross-culturally adaptable.
Limitations: Some argue the test focuses more on recognizing static emotional expressions rather than understanding complex mental states in dynamic real-world situations. Others critique it for its limited range of expressions and its reliance on verbal labels, which might disadvantage non-native speakers.

HOW TO SPEAK LIKE A PROFESSIONAL AT WORK! (Get Taken Seriously) ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS!
HOW TO SPEAK LIKE A PROFESSIONAL AT WORK! (Get Taken Seriously) ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS! Get my 50 RULES TO SPEAK LIKE A PRO! https://passmyinterview.com/speak-like-a-pro-in-any-situation/ #communicationskills #englishspeaking #speakenglish #publicspeaking #presentationskills
Let me ask you a quick question… if I told you that by the end of this lesson, your English speaking and communication skills will have improved significantly… would you keep watching? If the answer is yes, don’t go anywhere.
I am going to teach you, in 5 easy-to-follow rules, how to speak like a professional at work or in any conversation. Write these 5 rules down and start practising them in everyday conversations. Here we go.
HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH CONFIDENTLY AND FLUENTLY!
RULE NUMBER 1 – Eye contact. 00:38
Whenever you communicate with anyone in any situation, you must maintain good eye contact. Good eye contact shows confidence – the person, or persons you are communicating with, will take you seriously if you hold good eye contact. But what if you struggle with direct eye contact? Here’s what to do…
1. The bridge of the nose (TOP CHOICE)
👉 This is the best technique. From the other person’s perspective, it looks exactly like eye contact.
2. Between the eyebrows
👉 Very natural-looking and avoids the intensity of direct eye contact.
3. The forehead (just above the eyes)
👉 Subtle and still gives the impression you’re focused on them.
RULE NUMBER 2 – Learn the power of the PAUSE. 01:32
What do I mean? When someone asks you a question at work, or before you speak in any workplace conversation or meeting, I recommend you pause for a second or two. There are 3 benefits to using a pause before you speak. Here they are:
1. You sound More Confident & In Control
2. You Give Better Responses or Answers in any Conversation.
3. You Increase Impact & Presence
When you pause, it makes your words feel more important and deliberate.
RULE NUMBER 3 – Avoid Filler Words! 02:41
Have you ever listened to someone who constantly uses filler words? Filler words are very distracting, and they show a lack of confidence and authority when communicating.
Filler words include:
Erm…
Basically…
Like…
You know…
Instead of using filler words, simply pause before you speak.
RULE NUMBER 4 – Communicate In Numbers 03:10
This is a brilliant way to develop strong communication skills. Have you noticed that I always use numbers when communicating in my YouTube lessons? For example, I might say:
• In this lesson, I will teach you 3 things…
• Tip number 1…
• There are 5 rules to communicating like a professional.
When you use numbers during conversations, it demonstrates good structured communication, but it also creates intrigue, anticipation, and the person you are speaking to can absorb your information more easily.
RULE NUMBER 5 – Listen More Than You Speak! 04:54
There’s a powerful saying…
“The smartest person in the room is the one who speaks last.”
The reason is simple — when you listen more than you speak, you give yourself time to gather valuable information, understand different viewpoints, and respond with clarity and control.
It also shows confidence. You’re not reacting — you’re thinking. Whenever possible, be the last person to speak… because that’s when you add the most value.

HOW TO ANSWER “What Are Your Salary Expectations?” (3 Powerful Answers) PASS YOUR INTERVIEW!
HOW TO ANSWER: What Are Your Salary Expectations? (3 Powerful Answers) PASS YOUR INTERVIEW! Get tailored answers to common interview questions: https://passmyinterview.com/ultimate-tailored-job-interview-qa-package/
#jobinterview #interviewquestions #interviewtips #salary
One of the toughest questions to answer in any job interview is, what are your salary expectations? Discussing salary can be awkward, but it doesn’t have to be! In this quick training lesson, I am going to reveal the number 1 best way to get the salary you deserve.
There are 2 reasons why the hiring manager will ask you the question, what are your salary expectations?
Reason number one is that they want to hire someone who fits in with their budget – the hiring manager will already know the salary they are prepared to pay for the right candidate. Soon, I will tell you how you can find out what the hiring manager is prepared to pay.
And reason number two why they will ask the question, “What are your salary expectations?”, is because they want to find out if you know your worth. Anyone can say in a job interview, “I want a salary of $70,000”, but you will never get that salary unless you explain why you are worth that amount.
That is why there are 3 things you must say in your answer to get the highest salary. Let me tell you what they are… write these down:
1. Tell the hiring manager you have RESEARCHED THE SALARY RANGE for your role and industry. This tells them you know what the going rate is for someone in this position. Their budget will fall within that salary range. You can find out the salary range for any role and industry on the website GlassDoor.com or by asking ChatGPT.
2. Tell the hiring manager what your desired salary is. My advice is to ask for a salary slightly below the higher end of the salary range. For example, if the range were $55,000 and $64,000, I would ask for $63,000.
#3. Tell the hiring manager WHY you are worth your desired salary – this is important. You can mention any of these 4 things to prove your worth:
(1) Previous strong work performance that impacted your employer positively.
“In my previous role, I worked on a team that secured a lucrative sales contract for our employer.”
(2) Ideas you put forward in previous roles that resulted in revenue growth.
“In my last role, I suggested upsell opportunities that increased the average sales transaction by 18%.
(3) Examples of going above and beyond to help your employer.
“In my last role, I stayed behind late after work when needed to support business operations, and I volunteered to help train new co-workers.”
(4) Unique or in-demand skills, certification or experience that make you valuable.
“I bring technical certifications and expertise that will help the business increase market share.”
OK, let me now give you the first of my 3 recommended answers to the question, WHAT ARE YOUR SALARY EXPECTATIONS? I will show you how to answer the question in a real interview. Tell me in the comments which answer option, 1, 2 or 3, you think is the strongest. Here’s answer option number 1.
ANSWER OPTION 1 05:32
The second method involves not asking for a specific salary until you are offered the job. This is a psychological trick that tells the hiring manager you are value-focused as opposed to money-focused. This is a smart method to consider using, and it is perfect for those candidates who do not feel confident asking for a specific salary. Here’s the answer in a real interview:
ANSWER OPTION 2 06:45
The 3rd option is to put the onus on the hiring manager to disclose the salary range they have set for the role. Again, this tells them that your focus is on adding value first, as opposed to having a set salary amount you would be prepared to work for!
ANSWER OPTION 3 07:49
