Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency has released a video appearing to show Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei surrounded by several people.

The report did not specify when or where the footage was recorded and did not identify the individuals seen alongside him. The release comes amid heightened attention surrounding Mojtaba Khamenei’s public appearances and Iran’s leadership following the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

According to the report, the United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Tehran and other Iranian cities on February 28, killing Ali Khamenei along with senior military commanders and civilians. Iran subsequently responded with missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. and Israeli bases and assets across the region.
