15 POWERFUL THINGS TO SAY IN A JOB INTERVIEW! (GET HIRED FAST!)
15 POWERFUL THINGS TO SAY IN A JOB INTERVIEW (GET HIRED FAST!)
If you want to pass your job interview, you must watch this video! I am going to reveal the 15 most powerful things you can say in your interview that will get you hired. My name is Richard McMunn. I have been a hiring manager and recruitment expert for more than 30 years, and if you said these 15 things to me in a job interview, I would offer you the job.
1. “Thank you for this opportunity.”
Saying THANK YOU demonstrates good manners, and saying you are EXCITED tells the hiring manager you are passionate about your work.
2. “I’ve studied the job description.”
The job description is the blueprint for the role you have applied for – 95% of candidates do not know it exists, let alone have even read it. Saying you have studied the job description tells the hiring manager you are a good fit for the role, and you will need minimal supervision.
3. “I want this job because I am passionate about this role and industry.”
Early on in your job interview, the hiring manager will say to you: WHY DO YOU WANT THIS JOB? Do not say you want the job because of the pay or because it’s close to where you live. Instead, say this:
4. “I want to build a long-term career at your company.”
One of the most attractive things for a hiring manager is loyalty – a candidate who wants to commit long-term to their company. REMEMBER THIS: It takes a lot of time, effort and resources to hire someone for a job role, so if you tell them you will commit for the long term, you will be more likely to get hired.
5. “I take ownership of problems.”
Employers love people who resolve problems – the issue is that 90% of employees leave problems for others to deal with. Say that you own problems and you will increase employability.
6. “I am commercially aware.”
If you are commercially aware, it means you understand, in basic terms, how a business operates and that it needs to be profitable to succeed.
7. “I have researched your company.”
This is such a powerful thing to say in a job interview. Researching the company tells the hiring manager you are serious about working there. Most people don’t do any research, but that is a big mistake.
8. “I have a track record of achievement.”
Hiring managers will always choose a candidate with a track record of success over one who has achieved very little. You can say you have a track record of achievement when answering the question, why should we hire you?
9. “I am adaptable and respond positively to change.”
Again, you should say this as part of your answer to the question, why should we hire you? Employees who are adaptable and who embrace change with a positive attitude are more valuable to an employer.
10. “I am results-driven.”
This is another brilliant thing to say in a job interview. If you are results-driven, it means you always focus on achieving positive things that have a measurable impact on your team and employer. Say it when answering the common interview question, WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT FROM THE OTHER CANDIDATES?
11. “I respond well to feedback and use it to develop my skills.”
This is one of the most impressive things you can say in a job interview. Saying you respond well to feedback tells the hiring manager you are someone who will continually develop your skills in the role. If you are continually developing and improving your skills, you will always be an asset to your team.
12. “I am a quick learner who will require minimal supervision.”
The worst thing for any employer is to have to spend weeks training someone up for a job role once they commence work for the company. If you are a quick learner, it will be to your advantage. Say this in your interview to impress the hiring manager:
13. “I’m a strong collaborator.”
Two of the most used words in job interview answers are team worker – yes, it’s true that all employers need good team workers, but a far better word to use is, COLLABORATOR.
A collaborator is someone who puts the needs of their team first, acts selflessly, supports their co-workers and works hard to achieve the combined objective.
14. “I would like to ask three questions.”
At the end of your interview, the hiring manager will say, do you have any questions? Do not make the mistake of saying: “No, I don’t have any questions because you covered everything in the interview.” Ask 3 questions to impress!
15. “I have a plan of action.”
At the end of your job interview, just before you leave, I recommend you give the hiring manager a 30, 60 and 90-day plan of action that tells them exactly what you will do in the role to make a difference. This will significantly boost your chances of getting hired because it will be the last thing they remember you for.

HOW TO ANSWER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS (Even When Your Mind Goes Blank!)
HOW TO ANSWER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS (Even When Your Mind Goes Blank!) Let me write your interview answers! https://passmyinterview.com/ultimate-tailored-job-interview-qa-package/ #jobinterviews #interviewpreparation #interviewtips
*** HOW TO ANSWER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS WHEN YOUR MIND GOES BLANK! ***
Have you ever been asked a job interview question and suddenly your mind goes completely blank? You know you have the skills and experience needed for the position, but when the interviewer asks you a question, you simply cannot think of what to say.
This is incredibly common, and the good news is there is a simple technique you can use to get your answer back on track.
It is called the PPE METHOD:
P – PAUSE BEFORE ANSWERING
P – PICK ONE THING
E – EXPAND ON YOUR ANSWER
Here is how to use the PPE method to answer interview questions confidently, even when your mind goes blank!
P – PAUSE BEFORE ANSWERING
The first thing to do when you are asked a difficult interview question is to pause.
Many candidates believe they have to start answering immediately. They don’t!
Taking a brief pause of two or three seconds before responding can actually demonstrate confidence, composure and good communication skills.
It also gives your brain valuable time to process the question and decide what you want to say.
If your mind goes blank, don’t panic and start talking for the sake of filling the silence. Take a moment, maintain positive body language and think about the question.
A short, controlled pause will usually look far more professional than rushing into an answer that lacks structure or direction.
P – PICK ONE THING
Next, pick ONE thing you can talk about.
One of the reasons people struggle with interview questions is because they try to formulate the perfect answer in their head before they start speaking.
Instead, simplify the process.
Think of just ONE relevant skill, experience, example, achievement or piece of knowledge connected to the question and start with that.
For example, imagine the interviewer asks:
“What are your greatest strengths?”
Your mind suddenly goes blank.
Instead of trying to remember a long list of strengths, pick ONE:
“One of my greatest strengths is my ability to communicate effectively.”
You now have the starting point for your answer.
Or perhaps the interviewer asks:
“Why should we hire you?”
Pick ONE reason:
“You should hire me because I have the skills and qualities needed to contribute to the team from the moment I start.”
Once you have that first point, you can move on to the final stage of the PPE method.
E – EXPAND ON YOUR ANSWER
Now EXPAND on the point you have chosen.
Explain why it is relevant, provide some evidence, give an example, or describe how it will benefit the employer.
Let’s return to the strengths example:
“One of my greatest strengths is my ability to communicate effectively. In my previous roles, I have regularly communicated with customers, colleagues and managers, and I always make sure information is clear, professional and easy to understand. I believe this strength would help me work effectively with your team and provide excellent service to your customers.”
Notice what happened.
We started with just ONE simple thought – communication – and then expanded on it.
You do not need to have your entire interview answer prepared in your head before you start talking. You simply need a starting point.
REMEMBER: PPE!
If your mind goes blank during your next job interview, remember these three letters:
P – PAUSE BEFORE ANSWERING.
Take two or three seconds to think. This demonstrates confidence, composure and good communication skills.
P – PICK ONE THING.
Choose one relevant skill, strength, experience, example or fact you can talk about.
E – EXPAND ON YOUR ANSWER.
Develop your initial point by explaining it, giving evidence or providing an example.
The biggest mistake you can make when your mind goes blank is to panic. Instead, slow everything down and use PPE.
PAUSE. PICK. EXPAND.
This simple interview technique gives your brain time to work, provides your answer with direction and helps you communicate confidently under pressure.
Most importantly, remember that interviewers are not expecting you to respond like a robot. They want to see that you can listen carefully, think about the question and provide a clear, relevant and confident response.
So, before your next job interview, practise answering common interview questions using the PPE method.
The more you practise **PAUSE – PICK – EXPAND**, the easier it will become to answer difficult interview questions without your mind going blank.
