PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS & ANSWERS! (Pass Your Interview!) #teacherinterview #teaching #jobinterview GET THE ANSWERS https://passmyinterview.com/22-primary-school-teacher-interview-questions-answers/
7 SIMPLE STEPS FOR PREPARING FOR A PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER INTERVIEW
Preparing for a primary school teacher interview requires more than just knowing how to teach. Schools are looking for candidates who are passionate, well-prepared, and capable of making a positive impact from day one. Here are seven simple but highly effective steps to help you succeed.
1. Research the School Thoroughly
Start by learning everything you can about the school. Review its website, values, mission statement, and any recent news or Ofsted reports. Understanding the school’s ethos will help you tailor your answers and demonstrate genuine interest.
2. Understand the Primary Curriculum
Make sure you are confident in the national curriculum and how it applies to primary education. Be ready to explain how your teaching methods will support pupil progress in core subjects like English, Maths, and Science.
3. Prepare Strong Answers to Common Questions
Practice answers to frequently asked questions such as “Tell me about yourself,” “Why do you want to be a teacher?” and “How do you manage classroom behaviour?” Use structured methods like the STAR technique to keep your answers clear and impactful.
4. Plan an Engaging Lesson
Many primary school interviews require you to deliver a sample lesson. Plan a simple, engaging lesson with a clear objective, interactive activities, and a strong plenary. Show how you differentiate learning to support all abilities.
5. Demonstrate Behaviour Management Skills
Primary schools want teachers who can create a calm, positive classroom. Explain how you set clear expectations, use praise effectively, and manage behaviour in a supportive and consistent way, especially with younger children.
6. Showcase Your Passion for Teaching
Your enthusiasm matters. Schools want teachers who genuinely care about children’s development. Share examples of how you have helped pupils grow academically, socially, or emotionally.
7. Prepare Questions to Ask at the End
Always prepare thoughtful questions. Ask about the school’s development plans, support for teachers, or how success is measured. This shows you are serious about the role and committed to making a difference.

Confidence comes from preparation. The more you practise, research, and refine your answers, the more you will stand out. Follow these seven steps, and you will significantly increase your chances of passing your primary school teacher interview and securing the role.

TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF | SEAT METHOD | BEST ANSWER!
Learn how to answer TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF with Richard McMunn’s SEAT METHOD answer!
HOW TO ANSWER “TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF” USING RICHARD McMUNN’S SEAT METHOD!
“Tell me about yourself” is one of the most common job interview questions, and how you answer it can make a significant difference to your chances of getting hired.
Your answer is often the first opportunity to impress the hiring manager, demonstrate your suitability for the position, and show that you are a confident, professional candidate.
Unfortunately, many candidates make the mistake of talking about their personal life, repeating their CV, or giving an answer that is too long and unfocused.
To help you deliver the perfect introduction, interview coach Richard McMunn has developed the SEAT METHOD – a simple, powerful four-step technique for answering “Tell me about yourself” in a job interview.
WHAT IS THE SEAT METHOD?
SEAT stands for:
S – SKILLS
E – EXPERIENCE
A – ACHIEVEMENTS
T – TYPE OF PERSON
By following this structure, you can deliver a confident, professional answer that immediately demonstrates why you are suitable for the job.
STEP 1 – SKILLS
Start your answer by highlighting three or four skills that are relevant to the position.
For example:
“Thank you for this opportunity. I am a highly motivated, reliable and adaptable professional with strong communication skills, excellent teamwork abilities and a commitment to delivering high standards.”
This opening immediately tells the interviewer that you possess qualities employers value.
STEP 2 – EXPERIENCE
Next, briefly explain your relevant experience and how it will help you contribute to the organisation.
For example:
“My experience includes working in busy environments, dealing with customers, solving problems, meeting deadlines and supporting colleagues to achieve team objectives.”
If you have limited work experience, mention your education, volunteering, training, internships or transferable skills instead.
STEP 3 – ACHIEVEMENTS
This is where you differentiate yourself from other candidates.
Describe one or two accomplishments that demonstrate your ability to deliver positive results.
For example:
“In my previous role, I received positive feedback from customers for my professionalism and regularly helped my team meet demanding targets. I also suggested an improvement that made our daily processes more efficient.”
Whenever possible, include measurable achievements to make your answer even stronger.
STEP 4 – TYPE OF PERSON
Finish your introduction by explaining what kind of employee you will be and why the company should hire you.
For example:
“I am the type of person who takes responsibility for my work, responds positively to feedback, embraces change and always looks for ways to improve. If you hire me, I will be a positive role model and do everything I can to help your organisation succeed.”
This powerful closing statement demonstrates commitment, professionalism and a strong work ethic.
3 IMPORTANT TIPS FOR ANSWERING “TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF”
1. KEEP YOUR ANSWER CONCISE – Aim for approximately 60 seconds. Focus on information that demonstrates your suitability for the role.
2. MATCH YOUR ANSWER TO THE JOB DESCRIPTION – Identify the essential skills and qualities the employer is looking for and incorporate them into your introduction.
3. PRACTISE UNTIL YOU SOUND NATURAL – Use the SEAT METHOD to structure your response, but avoid sounding as though you are reading from a script.
FINAL ADVICE FROM RICHARD McMUNN
Your answer to “Tell me about yourself” sets the tone for the rest of your job interview.
By using Richard McMunn’s SEAT METHOD – Skills, Experience, Achievements and Type of Person – you can create a memorable introduction that highlights your strengths, demonstrates your value and gives the hiring manager confidence in your ability to succeed.
Remember, the goal is not simply to tell the interviewer about yourself. It is to convince them that you are the right person for the job!

04:24 – Why do you want to work as an IT Support Technician?

08:55 – How would you deal with an angry user?

DOWNLOAD THE GUIDE! 13:11
5 QUICK TIPS FOR PREPARING FOR AN IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN JOB INTERVIEW!
If you have an IT Support Technician interview coming up, these 5 tips will help you prepare, demonstrate your technical knowledge, and stand out from the competition!
**TIP 1. RESEARCH THE COMPANY’S IT REQUIREMENTS!**
Before your interview, research the company, its operations, and the technology it relies upon. Read the job description carefully and identify the technical skills required. Think about how your knowledge of operating systems, networks, hardware, software, and cybersecurity will help the organisation maintain operational uptime.
**TIP 2. LEARN A 5-STEP TROUBLESHOOTING PROCESS!**
You are likely to be asked how you would diagnose and resolve technical problems. Prepare a structured approach: (1) Identify the problem and gather information, (2) Establish the likely cause, (3) Test a possible solution, (4) Implement the fix and verify functionality, and (5) Document the resolution. Explain how you would keep users informed throughout the process.
**TIP 3. PREPARE EXAMPLES OF YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS!**
Don’t just tell the interviewer you are technically competent. Prove it! Prepare examples of when you resolved a difficult IT issue, reduced support ticket resolution times, helped a frustrated user, or identified a recurring problem. Where possible, include measurable results to demonstrate the value you can bring to their organisation.
**TIP 4. KNOW HOW TO PRIORITISE SUPPORT TICKETS!**
Employers want IT Support Technicians who understand business priorities. Be ready to explain how you would assess tickets based on urgency, operational impact, and user needs. For example, a company-wide network outage would normally take priority over a single user’s printer issue. Explain how you would communicate expected resolution times and escalate problems when necessary.
**TIP 5. PREPARE 3 SMART QUESTIONS TO ASK!**
At the end of your interview, ask questions that demonstrate your commitment to the role. Find out what the team’s biggest IT challenges are, which technologies you would be supporting, and what success looks like during your first 90 days. These questions show you are already thinking about making a positive contribution.
**FINAL TIP:** Remember, employers aren’t just hiring technical knowledge. They want someone reliable, patient, adaptable, and capable of explaining complicated IT problems in simple terms. Demonstrate these qualities throughout your interview!

SAY THIS in 60 SECONDS & GET HIRED! The Perfect “Tell Me About Yourself” Answer!
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF | SEAT METHOD | BEST ANSWER! – SAY THIS in 60 SECONDS & GET HIRED! The Perfect “Tell Me About Yourself” Answer! #jobinterview #tellmeaboutyourself #introduceyourself #interviewquestionsandanswers
Most people fail job interviews because their ‘tell me about yourself’ answer is weak. They give a poor introduction, and the interview goes downhill from that point onwards.
In this video, I will reveal a brilliant way you can introduce yourself that will get you hired – this ‘tell me about yourself’ answer is so strong, it will make it very difficult for any hiring manager to turn you down! This introduction is perfect for all job interviews.
3 important tips for answering TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF! 01:00
TIP 1 – I want you to practice your tell me about yourself answer 3 times before the interview. Sit down in front of a friend or relative, or even in front of a mirror and practice delivering your answer. If you give a confident introduction, the rest of the interview will be easy. Very soon, I will give you the script so you can write it down and practice.
TIP 2 – Slow down your pace of communication when giving your ‘tell me about yourself’ answer. In a job interview, there is a tendency to speak quickly because you are nervous. But when you slow down, it shows the interviewer you are a confident communicator.
TIP 3 – Keep your tell me about yourself answer professional – don’t talk about hobbies, relationship status, family or personal problems.
Tell Me About Yourself: talk about these 4 things 02:07
NUMBER 1 – The SKILLS you have – Mention 3 good skills you have that match the job description. For example:
“I am a strong communicator, an excellent team player and a good problem solver.”
NUMBER 2 – The EXPERIENCE you can bring to the company – Briefly talk about the experience you can bring to the role. For example:
“My experience in task completion, project management and delivering outstanding customer service means I can have an immediate impact in the position.”
NUMBER 3 – A significant ACHIEVEMENT you have attained in your life so far – for example:
“I have a track record of achievement. In my last role, I was praised for how I attracted 5-star customer reviews for the business.”
NUMBER 4 – The TYPE OF EMPLOYEE you are – For example:
“I am the type of employee who will work hard to give you a strong return on my salary and be flexible in my job description to help the company in times of need.”
Those 4 things stand for S-E-A-T: Skills, Experience, Achievements and Type of Employee you are – you can remember my SEAT structure to tell me about yourself because you will be sat down on a SEAT at your interview – when the interviewer says, “Welcome to the interview, please take a seat.” – that is your cue to remember the 4 things you must talk about.
