China’s $11 Billion Engineering Marvel: Giant Yangtzee Water Staircase to Supercharge River Trade

#Gravitas China has begun construction of an enormous 11.4-billion-dollar engineering project near the Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River. The project, expected to take 112 months or roughly 9.3 years, to complete, will build a new 6,680-metre-long, two-way, five-stage ship lock system.
