Argentina’s Milei meets Ecuador’s Noboa in Quito

Argentine President Javier Milei met Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa in Quito on Thursday, August 6, during an official visit focused on strengthening bilateral ties. The leaders signed agreements covering extradition, cyber defence, air services and cooperation in the automotive sector. They also pledged to work together against transnational organized crime and drug trafficking through regional initiatives. The meeting took place at Ecuador’s Carondelet Palace, where both governments discussed judicial, commercial and security cooperation. Milei’s visit to Ecuador was part of a regional tour that continued with his planned attendance at Colombia’s presidential inauguration.
