Nepal Floods: Emotional Farewell By Families | WION

Relatives held emotional cremation rites in Chitwan and Kathmandu on Monday (August 31) as more flood victims’ bodies were recovered five days after the disaster. With mortuaries overflowing, Nepal has begun temporary burials of unidentified remains after collecting DNA samples so families can later perform traditional Hindu funeral rites. The death toll has surpassed 900, with thousands still missing across Nepal and Tibet.
