Does anybody know the actual times of this particular test. I think this will be the one that tests my ability the most. I have my tests this Thursday in Manchester. I have practice papers which are all alphabetic based and not these dots. Tonight and tomorrow after work, I'm going to hit hard on this one the most.

I’ve downloaded the group bourdon 2.0 but it wont let me identify the dots and mark it. Can you tell me how to do this on the laptop?

I had 60 secs per page. I practiced with the materials provided from the company but they were letters, capitals and lowercase and the sample base was a lot less than the ones they provided on test day with the 4 dots. I just got my results yesterday. Passed all the other tests apart from the Bourdon. I’m happy I gave it a go and that for everything else my prep didn’t fail me, but I don’t think I’ll return in six months. I’m sure my life will go in other directions

Hi Richard,
Just a quick question.. on paper do you circle each box containing 4 or just count total per row and overall total?

No disrespect to train drivers what so ever….. but all these crazie tests are just bull shit. If you can drive an artic lorry threw a city centre during rush hour you can press go and stop buttons on a track with no cycles, people, scooters, moterbikes and drivers who have no licence.. its just a way of keeping people from getting a well paid career. OK obviously there Is more than just pressing buttons but ye get where am coming from.

When I started as a trainee in 1975, all I had to do was to prove I could read and pass the medical.

Hi. Does anyone know the size of each cell? I am trying to print some tests off to practice, but not sure if I am making the cells too small? Certainly don't want to make them too big and have false confidence.

I keep getting to 10/11 lines in 2 mins. Is that to enhanced standard? Assuming I’ve been accurate with no mistakes

And then you drive over the people without realising that, because your brain is looking for 4 dots only.

Don’t worry about this. I actually did this test with a hangover. When the EU licence was introduced all drivers had to take this test again in Belgium. I’d gone on the piss the evening before thinking I didn’t have to work the next day. Only when I got home I noticed the test on my roster. Thought I was buggered as I got pretty sauces, yet the next day my hangover caused me not to care much with the idea I would just be sent back to do it again if I failed. When it was over I was told I had a well above average score. I guess the lesson of this story is, DON’T STRESS about it… oh, and check your diary before going to the pub… the bright light of the eye test was a little less fun…. I do remember the doctor asking me if I’d had a bit of a party… LOL
Happy days, young and stupid. I’d take it much more serious now I’m older and have more responsibilities than in my 20’s. But it just goes to show, it’s not as hard as they make it out to be.

I'm looking at getting into the rail industry. Does having a degree put you at a significant advantage than a person without, if we're both applying for the same job? Also, when it comes to progressing in the industry,is it the experience or the degree that gives you an advantage? Thank you

what are the limitations of this test? for example I think that if the participant can track the boxes with his finger or with the arrow mark of the computer it might be involved variable OR the pressure factor is destroying the pure concentration ability

Hi, thank you for this video; it's great. On the default GBT settings (middle density, 5 of the sheets at 2 minutes each) how many correct answers are there? Or how many omitted have other people gotten on average?
Many thanks,
Joseph Bunnage
