Welcome to a little twist on The Makeup Breakup! Earlier this year we had to remove some of our Makeup Breakup videos due to copyright reasons, we’ve had some questions regarding the missing videos so we decided to compile them all in to one video. Lesson learnt: always double check that a royalty free song isn’t sampling a copyrighted song!

BN:MB?!? Raw Beauty Kristi had 6 videos affected in a similar manner. Rhian from WifeLife suggested speaking to an attorney. Not sure how different Australian law would be than US law.
I’ll watch this video a few times to get you some more income on this.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Another big YouTube channel called Mumbo Jumbo experienced the same thing. He explicitly got written permission from an artist to use one of their songs in his intro, but it turns out that (unbeknownst to him) the song contains a sample. The big corporation that owns the sample copyright claimed hundreds of his videos over this tiny sample that is no more than two or three seconds long. It's sad that this can happen even when you try to do the right thing and respect copyright law.

I think you can change the music in the original videos. The same thing happened to Danny Gonzales and he had to make his own music and replace the copyrighted music on all his old videos.

Booooooo. It's such a shame that all that hard work you put into your videos goes to a waste because you trusted someone that claimed to make royalty-free music. Something similar also happened to my sister. Her content got copyright strikes even though she used royalty-free music in it because apparently someone else copied her artist and tried to claim the music as their own. I hope this won't happen again. I hate seeing your fun and educational content having to be taken down over something that isn't your fault.

When will record companies figure out what game companies did, that YouTube and streaming is good for them? Your videos aren't anything controversial, and they expose the music to people that would likely never hear it otherwise. I know I've checked out artists I've heard in montage type videos.
