   I LOVE your explanations on the use of casual swearing! I have attempted to do this with several people in the past and failed miserably. I grew up in a place, and at a time, where swearing was simply part of our language, and I find that these days I have to be careful around ANYONE who doesn’t know me and doesn’t know that when I say “hey bitch!” I really mean “hey buddy!”.

    It's not even that JS said that anyone who didn't like the palette was a shady cunt. It was the people who he said were deliberately swatching it badly or swatching it off camera.
    I couldn't care less what sort of language hes using because mine isn't really much better than his. Nor do I really care why he's calling people shady cunts, at the end of the day, it's only a youtube video and if I was gonna be butthurt over every little thing that could be construed as offensive, then I'd spend an awful lot of my time being butthurt, and I am not about that life lol

    I don't think that Jeffree Star meant to call everyone who doesn't like the palette shady. I just think he meant that out of all the bad reviews he has seen, they have been all shady. Because from genuine reviews, everyone else has loved it. That's just what I thought of it anyways.

    Honestly the biggest problem is that we're STILL talking about him. 10 years ago I started avoiding him and his fans at music festivals (where his merch stand sold hot pink underwear that read "CUNT" across the front, so this shit is nearly as old as he is), and now I just want to stop hearing about him in the beauty community. It's like I can't shake him no matter where I go 🙄

    I do get annoyed by him saying cunts, and pussy, and pretty much any word that was/is used to degrade women, because the sexist double-standard still exists. Like, calling any gender a dick pretty much means hey, you're being a big fuckin' jerk, but men still get soooo pissed off when they're called pussies or bitches, because it means they're weak like women or catty like women or being too sensitive etc etc. It's still more offensive to a man to be called a woman than it is to a woman to be called a man in today's world, so as long as that's true, I'm not okay with anyone who identifies as a man flippantly using words like this. But like, this is less a JS problem for me and more an issue I have with heavily gendered insults in general, and as someone who also swears all the fucking time, I just think about these things a lot. So that's my two cents! In the same vein, I'm all here for women reclaiming words historically used to shame us. Sometimes, you just wanna tell the world how much of a badass fucking bitch you are. 😜

    I don't remember if it was his video or snapchat but he insinuated that the shady c was ssssssamantha. She got a lot of uncalled for hate on her social media as a result of it and lost 3K followers on her Instagram that weekend. If you watch her review of the palette she is very fair but says that it's not worth the 100+ Canadian dollars te palette would cost for Canadians.

    I personally don't like the c word, I swear and I'm very open to people swearing and saying the word. Just because I don't like the word or like saying it doesn't mean I have any right to say to others that they can't say a word that they don't mind saying. I adore you gals and this channel, I don't care for the swearing because it shows how open and honest you actually are.

    Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of the word cunt, even though I'm an active swearer. That being said, I did not take offence to his comment because in reality he was being dissing the people with a hidden agenda on reviewing Jaclyn's palette negatively, not "cunts". I feel like people take everything way too seriously these days, especially people like Jeffree Star, and I personally find it really boring and repetitive.

    I had never hear the word count till I watched youtube…lol it means nothing in my brain….but yes I agree ppl have a difference of opinion and J* needs to cool it. He's not the makeup God. And it's morphe cheap makeup made in china. So yes there can be variations of quality. Because its not morphes private lab. Unlike colourpop, makeupgeek, or viseart they have their own chemists and factories.

    I personally don't agree with using the word but I think when you talked about context that I completely agree with. I don't watch him, I'm not a fan but even I know what he's about and these things don't surprise me. I think people like to make mountains out of mole hills. this day and age people hide behind their screens and think that they can say whatever they want and there's nothing anyone can do. I'm about the same age as you beautiful ladies and I didn't grow up with the internet just being there. my teachers and dad taught me that if you can't say it to someone's face then you shouldn't post it. I swear like a sailor myself so swearing doesn't bother me but I think there's a time and a place. keep doing you, I love your videos and your honest, not sugarcoated, opinions.

    If he said people are shady cunts trying to shade a Revlon eyebrow product we wouldn't be talking about this. Every video is a Jaclyn AD at some point on his Chanel. I think that's all. I don't get offended by his language because I've known about him since 2008. He's an idiot in general so I don't watch him. People just get mad that he is a large influenster when other youtubers work their ass off as well. Melissa gets pissed all the time about that.
