I know I'm commenting late on this but I'm watching beauty news from the beginning. The only time I've ever heard "rat" being racist is Nazis calling Jewish people rats because of their facial structure and nose shape. But I still agree with you. What happened to you being basically dragged through the mud is dumb and I liked the way you spoke about it.

There was a lot of different reactions to JS's video. Many are emotionally .invested in him and will defend him to recreate and they recognize no boundaries. Others are at the hurtful end of racism and are very sensitive to the subject, and for them, JS will always be a hateful ass. He is the incapable of staying quiet. He just urged his minions to go after beauty influencers that did not over praise the Jacklyn Hill new Morphe palette. He called them horrible names and showed his contempt for women that do not agree with him. He will never change as long as he can generate controversy and get people talking about him. No subject is off topic as long as it stirs the pot.

first of all, A+ on the intro. second, it seems like cruelty free has almost become a YouTube fad. people are going cruelty free because it's the thing to do. I wonder how many of those people do research into other products they're buying to see if they're supporting child labor and other unethical treatment of human beings. 😤😡😠

It's such a shame that we can't talk about these important issues without descending in madness. We will never achieve anything if we don't stop shouting over eachother's opinions instead of actually fucking listening to all the arguments 🙄😡 I completely understand why you've put a blanket ban on it (and probably other difficult issues in time) but it's a shame because I'd like to hear both of your views on stuff like this. BTW we should educate those that clearly don't know that Australia is built on multiculturalism, and we have as much of an appreciation of how racism affects people as other countries do.
