While I understand why brands choose the colors they do for foundation and concealer, it’s not as easy as “just put your money where your mouth is”. I’m a fair white girl, who doesn’t even wear foundation. However I want brands to put out makeup that all people can wear, not just fair white girls. There are a lot of people who fall into the average foundation shades who still want our fellow makeup lovers who have darker skin to have products. But we can’t just go out and buy all the darker shades now can we? I mean I’m not going to go out and buy the darkest shade in each product and have it sit in my makeup collection just so that way my fellow makeup lovers can hopefully have their shades restocked.
It’s also problematic because you’re basically saying that it’s POCs fault for not having lots of foundations to choose from, that if they would have just bought them more, they would have the options still. And that’s bullshit.
I love you guys, I really fucking do. I think you guys are smart as fuck and you think differently about things. You think a little deeper into the why and how. But when it comes to talking about skin color and foundations you guys come off extremely privileged and pretty offensive. I understand you don’t live in America but I know Australia has its own issues regarding POC.

The Jouer collection to me look like they didn't put enough effort on expanding the shade range. They could have done a better work with undertones , especially for a 50 range collection.
