   Hey guys, I just wanted to clarify about the Emily Palette. I admire that she created a palette so true to her life and beliefs and I wish her all the success. A lot of people are very excited about the release and we didn't mean to rain on your parade, we were just discussing releases like we usually do – pointing out what we like and what we don't like so much. People are also mentioning that KVD has brought out religious themed makeup (such as the Saint and Sinner Palette) and we haven't commented on them. We didn't say it was religious inspired, because we thought it went without saying – it was a cathedral shaped palette called Saint and Sinner. Her products also come across (to me) as more inspired by art/literature/architecture/history rather than preaching religion. Shade names (whether they are sexual, drug related, or religious) are not a make or break for me when purchasing makeup, the makeup names and themes are just a fraction of what I look at when deciding whether I personally like or want an item. That's why I said that if I was on the fence about buying the palette it may dissuade me. If I loved the palette the names would not stop be from buying it at all. Always take our opinions with a grain of salt and make up your own mind. xo Kat

   in American history pineapples have represented a warm welcome and hospitality so thats probably why tarte choose them

   Feel like the Too Faced palette is similar to the ABH Nicole glow kit.. but I still want it 😂

   As far as the KKW lip glosses and pigments I don't understand why it costs $10 more to buy them as a bundle than if you had just bought them separately. The bundle is $160 but since one is $80 and one is $70 you could buy the two separate bundles for $10 cheaper at $150

    Hi Lovely Ladies,
    Fellow Aussie here. I bought 3 Powder Blue brushes (B02, B03, B04) when Priceline was having 50% off in Feb I think. They are so beautiful for powder products. It makes me want to buy powder foundation just to uses them more. Super soft. Super pricey. But they are some of my most used brushes.

    Hi Hailey and Kat, I feel totally the same way about prayer and religion being used in makeup, for me it is a turn off. I consider myself a spiritual person and not a religious person, I’d like to keep that stuff out of my makeup.

    I honestly can't believe some of these comments and I was honestly a little disappointed in Beauty News for discussing Emily's shade names in the first place. If an eyeshadow name makes y'all feel "preached at"- how on earth do you live through the day when passing by churches, seeing religious billboards, having "in god we trust" on currency (if you're in the US). Emily's faith and spirituality is beautiful and she has never tried to "force it" on anyone. These palettes are true to her and her experience. I can't imagine there would be as much of an "uproar" if the shades were based on buddhism or paganism or any number of less vilified religions. Plus, numerous religions use prayer as a practice, so if the shades make you that uncomfortable you can think of them as more open terms. Although my biggest issue overall with these comments is the fact that people find christianity so off putting that they can't even stand to see it referenced in two eyeshadow shades. It makes me very sad and upset that religion has hurt some of you so much to cause such a reaction. Prayers and love to all of you-

    I like Emily Noel a lot, but the palettes don't speak to me at all unfortunately, from the plastic packaging to shade selection in the needs pallette and how huge the eyeshadow palette is, just not my cup of tea. I don't quite get why MUR doesn't do more cardboard packaging, they had a collab palette with a polish youtuber earlier this year in which the packaging was gorgeous black and gold cardboard, so much nicer! I also totally agree with the religious names for shades, I'm not a fan of that either. But power to Emily Noel, I'm happy for her having her first collab finally, will wait for the next one maybe it'll catch my interest then.

    Does anybody have recommendations for Huda alternatives? I LOVE her creamy based colors but really don’t like her mattes, they feel so dusty to me. Is there an alternative to buying the big palettes just for the top row?
