   And yet Brits scream and yell that having a monarch makes this nation like no other. So where is the benefit –so much value for money having a monarch yet your country is in dire straights. And then the country has so much time to worry about what Harry and Meghan are up to. You need to change your priorities.

   This person is allowing her enmity to create this cartoonish image of life in the U.K. Shop lifting has gone up but by and large and relatively speaking it’s a small number. You are highly unlikely to be mugged in Britain. I’m a Bengali man living in Britain, studied in Manchester for undergrad, Leeds for Post, worked in investments sector in London and have lived in London since 2014. Yes, conservative government and a decade long programme of austerity coupled with long periods of lockdowns during the pandemic, commodity price increase since the Ukraine war, plus the own goal that was Brexit (a result of de-industrialisation in many UK towns) has led to a general state of deterioration in Britain, particularly relative to its peer nations I.e. western developed democracies with a relatively high GDP per capita. But overall , and relative to India for example standards of living are still much higher. I had what turned out to be the flu over xmas, had to go to A&E and yes there was a bit of a wait but I was seen to by a doctor, blood tests taken and chest x-rays done, a bed to lie on while I waited, breakfast and lunch picked off a menu while there. Went in at 6am and discharged by 3pm. It didn’t cost me a penny (well other than the tens of thousands in taxes per annum), the docs were very diligent, even if the nurses less so at times.

    I Lived in UK as child for 8 years most Brit’s are nice I never saw any racist or stuff like that. When they exited from EU because of racist movement I was shock like most of the world

    Broken, dangerous, little medical care, expensive, oppressive government, no policing, poor public services. You name it, it's FUBAR and, if at all possible, it's getting worse daily.
    I want to leave but at just under 70, with no savings because of our government, who would have us?

    I live in Wales and the Britain I loved has gone and has become dangerous. Myself and husband wear our stab vests when we go out. We've been invaded with no border control. I don't go anywhere now as it's no fun especially at 20mph…. The atmosphere has changed and it's not relaxed anymore. This last year a few feet away from our home has been a massive drug bust then a cocaine drug bust plus finding a missing Terrorist plus 3 missing people found dead in our canal….. People who do not watch real news are still sleep walking.
