   The amount of brands releasing permenant stuff with alternate packaging for the sake of being a part of some trend or event like Pride and Valentines day etc is sad.. I mean especially PRIDE.. NYX releasing that shit show is lazy AF!!!! I saw it online before I saw this episode and thought you have to be kidding.. how lazy can they get.. they could have revamped the actual palette's design if that was an option but just reprinting a carboard cover slip in rainbow… NAH that's just lazy..
   Elf did JKissa a disservice.. She's a great youtuber albeit I haven't watched her in years but she deserves better than a release the day before Pride month, it screams the Jackie and Carli ABH palette fiasco.. there wasn't enough room between their releases for their palettes to truly shine.. this palette of JKissa being the rainbow that it is, and being for shelter poochies should have been given a fair gap of time before Pride or way afterwards not just lets cheekily slip it in, 'donate'ish and hope nobody notices we're trying to two for one it with this rainbow palette.. not cool!!!!

   The jkissa collection was first released on the 25th on the elf website but you had to login to buy it.

   Glad to see y'all back! I really want to say that I appreciate y'all keeping it real. I dont think I agree with the people that take issue with people thinking that Jkissa would do ANYTHING else BUT a rainbow palette and honestly…a rainbow means a lot to a lot of different groups. I was a little girl and rainbows were MY THANG. If it were anyone else besides Jkissa and I would be leaning to agree with you guys. The company may have given her a release date…it also may have been pushed back because of everything in the world as well,… maybe?

    Urban decay literally puts me off with marketing every palette as a naked palette. I write it off as boring before I even see it. Just move on and stop beating the dead horse, ugh
    Move on god damn it, you used to be interesting
    Also, I wish NYX would at least reformulate that brights palette, cause that might have actually reeled me in.
    Also- what’s the deal with the NYX vivid brights liquid liners??? Cause I’m fairly sure they’ve discontinued them quietly, and although they’re not the best best best quality, I still kinda relied on them being there. Then they brought out creme gel versions but not in the same colours which kinda flopped so what’s the deal?
    If anyone has any info or relatively affordable alternatives (I’m in the UK, Scotland btw), please let me know x

    You know what, I really think Elf had a lot of good ideas but just executed them badly here. In my opinion (pls don’t attack me, I’m a gay pro MUA and nobody has to share my views ahaha), I think this palette is quite clever and has actually pulled me in considering I don’t own an elf eyeshadow palette yet. I like that it’s logical, and my main critique for colour stories especially recently is that they lack depth. Even with my bright looks (the majority of what I create), I still add depth almost always, so props for that, and a MATCHING shimmer which shouldn’t be as rare as it is😅
    I would personally be so much more on board if they released it as a pride palette and donated to an LGBTQ+ association/ charity and did a separate dog rescue palette and (even in their minimal way) donated to that with a different collection. Where they lose me is the utterly NON EXISTENT correlation between dog rescue and a rainbow?????
    I’ll never understand why they didn’t just make them two different things because it just doesn’t make sense. I don’t feel too annoyed about them profiting from the rainbow in pride season, but using it in this way (nonsensically) is what makes me feel uncomfortable about it

    Bi gal here, I totally didn't mind the Jkissa collab bc the hashtag was more intended as a take a pic with ur rescue pet thing but I guess I could see why some people would mind but it didn't seem infringing to me at least?

    First time to watch you, and I am really impressed. Thank you for the straight talk about makeup. That’s rare. So I have a question for you….what is the best purple palette? I have green eyes and purple/pink/gray shades are my favorite. I was excited to hear that Urban Decay was coming out with purple, but I agree with you and I don’t love the shades they selected.

    I have tried the lip primer by Linda Hallberg and it works really well. I’ve actually experiences some severe bleeding when using the more rich shades of fantastick lip products ( such as the red and the deep purple). The primes worked excellent so I’m super happy,

    I was in Ulta yesterday and saw the elfxjkissa pallet. Not going to lie I grabbed it because of the puppies. I am a rescue dog mom and sucker for anything rescue animals. I did not need another rainbow/bright pallet at all. For me with zero primer completely dry finger swatches on my arm, the middle and top rows are so pretty. I agree it is a bit shady to sell it during June. It should have been released on May 20th for national rescue dog day, but if it was truly a delay due to the pandemic just say so.
