   what a lot of crap they were talking at the beginning of this. bruce's problem as a manager eventually comes out at every club he goes to – he develops favourites among his squad and wont adapt from that. he'll send those pet players out week after week, practically regardless of form or position. his sides get more and more twisted and illogical the longer he stays at a club because of that mental inflexibility. even his transfer business gets weirder and weirder because he becomes less and less aware of the current realities of his squads.

    It's all very well these ex-players and pundits having an opinion but the fact of the matter is…

    Bruce is a dinosaur and his tactics and formations are very old fashioned- The Championship has vastly improved and the football has changed. Bruce likes to play defensive and sneak goals and then defend but he has ruined our defence over 3 seasons.

    Sidwell saying he feels sorry for Bruce and it was too soon to get rid, he OBVIOUSLY hasn't got a clue and not watched many of our games this season.

    Bruce's team, formations and player choice was shocking!!!!

    Saying we have one of the best squads- Have any of you muppets seen our defensive options???? Bruce has an incredible choice of skillful forwards and midfield players but a TERRIBLE defence. He's lost players, loaned players out and not bought anywhere near enough defenders for cover. THREE defensive players being played out of position- time and time again!!!

    HE LOST THE PLOT LAST SEASON AND THE DEFENCE HE HAS LEFT US WITH IS SHOCKING!!! That alone, for me, is enough of a reason for that idiot to be sacked, never mind the fact that he plays defensive, dull football

    Not replaced last seasons loan players? Tammy Abraham is better than Grabban, Yannick Bolasie is better than Snodgrass for a start. Bruce failed to prioritise on signing a CB (should’ve got the McKenna deal over the line) and failed with signing a decent GK. Can’t believe how repetitive and misinformed the media are

    Every pundit on Shite Sports haven't watched a single game of Villa's all season and have a soft spot for Bruce because he's a nice bloke. Not to mention in every televised game they'd mention his 4 promotions and how he's a specialist despite the shite results and even worse style of football.

    Villa looked dreadful on the field. Sure, Bruce is a good coach but he had absolutely no idea who to play where, couldn't seem to manage games at the key moments, and was deliberately antagonising fans. Three wins in a week would make a difference, but Villa don't look like a side who could pull that off.

    I watched them play us (Sheffield Wednesday) a couple of weeks ago. I was expecting Villa to give us a good hiding, but aside from that goal by John McGinn Villa had absolutely nothing on us and we rolled them over.

    Thhe correct decision has been made, and it's obvious that Bruce is a golden boy in the media and the press listening to these three blather on about 'how unfortunate he is' and how 'The club caved in to a minority of fans' when it was obvious upon following the Villa fan channels and podcasts that the tide had turned after the thumping against Sheffield United.

    (Not replying to any of the comments here, not going there..lol)…….Villa are a side that are too nice, need to be more street wise and lose the superior attitude, such a shame we lost JT, had the dressing room, it's important that. Bigest mistake was letting Tommy Elphick go, could sure use him now, even Baker wasn't so bad. Isn't there a good Villa under 23 player who could stand in? Ah for a look into the cystal ball Only time will tell if they were right to sack at this time. Villa should sue the FA for the Chester red card. That wasn't even a pen. I've watch it several times too. No off pitch tv repeat view and no blo*dyy appeal just nuts. Maybe best no promotion this year now. Even if they did go up would they stay there? Only one way to go, and when they find it keep goin'

    I think it was the wrong decision. He’s a manager with a proven track record and were just a play off final game away from promotion last season.

    This season his team drew too many games (Villa’s loss rate was relatively low) but I think he could have turned it around. I don’t think Villa will get promoted any time soon now as there’s too many ‘me too’ teams in the championship who think they have the god given right to be in the Premier League.
