I interviewed for a visas and immigration role within the civil service a few months back and didn’t get the job because one of the questions were something along the lines of ‘tell us about a time when you demonstrated leadership’ and I mentioned that I didn’t have the experience but I’m willing to learn and I am a quick learner. I did also mention that I’ve trained colleagues in the past and one time I trained a lad who was autistic and dint understand what I was telling him so I adapted my training and even printed off check lists for him but somehow I never got the job. I have an interview today for a similar role too and feel so unprepared
