Nope. Never be the first to say any number. If benefits are involved, include those in your compensation considerations. That’s vague enough to compel them to make the first offer and ask you how that sounds. It works every time!

HR: "What is your salary expectation"

    Candidate: $10k to $12k a month.

HR: You are the best fit for the role but I'm afraid we can't afford you.

Candidate: Okay $4k would be fine.

HR: How soon can you start?

Meanwhile, the budget for the particular role is $10k . HR feels like they did a great job in salary negotiation and management will be happy they cut costs for the organization.

The new employee starts and notices the pay disparity.

Guess what happens? Dissatisfaction. Disengagement. Disloyalty.

Two months later, the employee leaves the organization for a better job. The recruitment process starts all over again. This leads to further costs and performance gaps within the team and organization.

In order to attract and retain top talent.

"PLEASE PAY PEOPLE WHAT THEY ARE WORK FOR"

STAR METHOD FOR BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS! (PASS YOUR INTERVIEW!)

on

STAR METHOD FOR BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS! (PASS YOUR INTERVIEW!) https://youtu.be/W2_08tLMmyI?si=rDe0iqZbdT1di89S #starmethod #behavioralinterview #jobinterview #interviewquestions #interviewpreparation
WHAT IS THE STAR METHOD? 00:42
Q1. Tell me about a time when you worked as part of a team. 02:50
Q2. Tell me about a time when you had to overcome a difficult problem. 04:40
Q3. Tell me about a time when you had to handle multiple tasks. 06:36
Q4. Tell me about a time when you made a mistake. 08:12

THE STAR METHOD FOR ANSWERING BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS!
Behavioural interview questions are designed to assess how you handled situations in the past because employers believe past performance is one of the best indicators of future success. Questions such as, “Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer,” or, “Describe a situation where you worked under pressure,” are common in job interviews.

The best way to answer these questions is by using the STAR method.

STAR stands for:
S – Situation
Briefly explain the situation or challenge you faced.
T – Task
Describe the task, objective, or responsibility you were given.
A – Action
Explain the specific actions you took to resolve the situation. This is the most important part of your answer, so focus on what *you* did.
R – Result
Finish with a positive outcome. Wherever possible, include measurable results or explain what you learned from the experience.

For example, if asked about dealing with conflict, you could explain the situation, outline your responsibility, describe the steps you took to resolve the issue professionally, and then highlight the positive outcome achieved.

The STAR method helps you provide clear, structured, and compelling answers that are easy for hiring managers to follow. It also ensures you stay focused on relevant information rather than going off-topic.

My advice as a hiring manager is simple: prepare at least five STAR examples before your interview that demonstrate key skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership. By doing so, you will be ready to answer the majority of behavioural interview questions with confidence and significantly increase your chances of success.

ARMY INTERVIEW TIPS BY RICHARD MCMUNN https://youtu.be/-jL5vzGmU-k?si=-BOPfFQzv_Ex8DEp
ARMY SELECTION TESTS https://youtu.be/eObPmTQ0JMo?si=_q4041vcFCz2d_4J
ARMY OFFICER SELECTION INTERVIEW https://youtu.be/jV0mmvVDOt4?si=G58AZqf7kff-RSqp

TOP 5 TIPS FOR PREPARING FOR BRITISH ARMY SELECTION
1. Learn the Army’s Values and Standards
Many candidates focus on fitness but overlook one of the most important assessment areas—the Army’s Values and Standards. Learn what each value means and be prepared to explain how you have demonstrated qualities such as courage, discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty, and selfless commitment in your daily life. Selection staff want to see that you will be a positive role model and reliable team member.

2. Prepare Examples That Prove Your Potential
During the selection process, you may be asked questions about teamwork, responsibility, resilience, and leadership. Prepare several real-life examples from school, work, sports, volunteering, or personal experiences that demonstrate these qualities. Strong examples help interviewers assess your suitability and show that you already possess Army-worthy behaviours.

3. Improve Your Fitness Beyond the Minimum Standard
Don’t just aim to meet the required fitness level—aim to exceed it. Focus on running, bodyweight exercises, endurance, and overall physical conditioning. Candidates who arrive well-prepared physically often perform better mentally because they have greater confidence and can focus fully on the assessments.

4. Research Your Chosen Army Role Thoroughly
One of the quickest ways to impress Army recruiters is to demonstrate genuine knowledge of the role you are applying for. Understand the training involved, where you might be based, the skills you will learn, and how the role contributes to Army operations. This shows commitment and proves that you have carefully considered your career choice.

5. Develop a Positive and Professional Attitude
Throughout the selection process, Army staff are constantly assessing your attitude. Be enthusiastic, polite, punctual, and willing to learn. Listen carefully to instructions, work well with others, and maintain a positive mindset even when tasks become challenging. A candidate with the right attitude and determination will often stand out more than someone who relies solely on natural ability.

Remember: The Army Selection Process is not just about fitness—it’s about demonstrating the character, commitment, teamwork, and potential needed to become a successful soldier. Candidates who prepare thoroughly in all areas give themselves the best possible chance of success.

30 PSYCHOMETRIC TEST QUESTIONS & ANSWERS! (WITH EXPLAINED SOLUTIONS!) PASS WITH 100%!

30 PSYCHOMETRIC TEST QUESTIONS & ANSWERS! (WITH EXPLAINED SOLUTIONS!) PASS WITH 100%! Get FREE TESTS: https://www.how2become.com/free-psychometric-tests/ #psychometrictest #aptitudetest #freetest #aptitudetests
Learn how to pass a psychometric or aptitude test with tips, questions, explanations and answers by Richard McMunn!

ANSWERS TO THE TEST: 22:30

5 TIPS FOR PASSING A PSYCHOMETRIC OR APTITUDE TEST
Psychometric and aptitude tests are used by employers to assess your intelligence, problem-solving ability, numerical reasoning, verbal comprehension, and suitability for a role. Major employers use these tests during their recruitment process to identify candidates who possess the skills and attributes needed to succeed.

The good news is that psychometric and aptitude tests can be prepared for. Follow these five expert tips to improve your score and increase your chances of success.

TIP #1 – Understand the Type of Test You Will Be Taking
Before you start preparing, find out exactly what type of psychometric or aptitude test the employer uses. Common tests include:

Numerical Reasoning
Verbal Reasoning
Logical Reasoning
Situational Judgement
Abstract Reasoning
Mechanical Reasoning

Each test assesses different skills. Knowing what to expect allows you to focus your preparation on the areas that matter most.

TIP #2 – Practice Under Timed Conditions
One of the biggest challenges candidates face is time pressure. Many psychometric tests contain a large number of questions that must be completed within a strict time limit.

When practising, always use a timer. This helps you:
– Improve your speed.
– Reduce test anxiety.
– Become familiar with answering questions quickly and accurately.

The more timed practice you complete, the more confident you will feel on test day.

TIP #3 – Learn to Identify Patterns Quickly
Many aptitude tests, particularly abstract and logical reasoning assessments, require you to identify patterns, sequences, and relationships.

When answering these questions, look for:
– Changes in shape.
– Rotations and reflections.
– Number sequences.
– Repeating patterns.
– Size and position changes.

Training your brain to recognise these patterns quickly will significantly improve your performance.

TIP #4 – Read Every Question Carefully
Many candidates fail psychometric tests not because they lack ability, but because they rush through questions and misread the instructions.

Before selecting an answer:
– Read the question twice.
– Pay attention to keywords.
– Check whether the question is asking for the MOST, LEAST, BEST, or WORST answer.
– Avoid making assumptions.

A few extra seconds spent understanding the question can prevent costly mistakes.

TIP #5 – Stay Calm and Keep Moving Forward
If you get stuck on a difficult question, don’t panic. Spending too much time on one question can reduce the time available for easier questions later in the test.

A simple strategy is to:
– Answer the questions you know first.
– Skip difficult questions and return to them later if possible.
– Maintain a positive mindset throughout the assessment.

Remember, psychometric tests are designed to challenge everyone. Your goal is not perfection—it is to achieve the highest score possible within the time available.

Final Thoughts
Psychometric and aptitude tests are a critical part of many recruitment processes, but success comes down to preparation. By understanding the test format, practising regularly, working under timed conditions, learning common question patterns, reading instructions carefully, and staying calm under pressure, you can dramatically improve your score and move one step closer to securing the job offer.

The candidates who consistently achieve the highest scores are not always the most intelligent, they are often the ones who prepare the most effectively.

17 INTERVIEW QUESTIONS & ANSWERS! https://youtu.be/YbDox5YpHf8?si=NmX_fFncj6zoBp5L

5 HIRING MANAGER TIPS FOR PASSING ANY JOB INTERVIEW!
If you want to pass your next job interview, there are several things you need to do that most candidates fail to prepare for.

As a hiring manager, I have interviewed thousands of people over the years, and I can tell you that getting hired is often determined by a few simple actions. The candidates who succeed are not always the most qualified. They are the ones who prepare properly, communicate confidently, and show they are serious about the opportunity.

Here are my 5 top hiring manager tips for passing any job interview.

TIP 1 – RESEARCH THE COMPANY BEFORE THE INTERVIEW
One of the quickest ways to impress a hiring manager is to demonstrate that you have taken the time to research the organization.

Visit the company website, learn about its products and services, understand its values, and find out what makes it different from its competitors.

When a candidate shows genuine knowledge of the company, it proves they are interested in the role and not just applying for every job they can find.

TIP 2 – STUDY THE JOB DESCRIPTION
The job description is full of clues about what the hiring manager is looking for.

Read it carefully and identify the key skills, qualities, and responsibilities required for the role. Then prepare examples from your previous experience that demonstrate your ability to meet those requirements.

Candidates who tailor their answers to the job description always stand out from the competition.

TIP 3 – PREPARE ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMON INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Many candidates walk into an interview hoping they can think of answers on the spot.

That is a mistake.

Prepare strong answers to common interview questions such as:
* Tell me about yourself.
* Why do you want this job?
* What are your strengths?
* Why should we hire you?
* Where do you see yourself in five years?

Practising your answers beforehand will help you communicate clearly and confidently during the interview.

TIP 4 – DRESS PROFESSIONALLY AND ARRIVE READY TO IMPRESS
First impressions matter. Even in workplaces with a relaxed dress code, you should still make an effort to look professional for your interview.

Dress smartly, arrive early, maintain good eye contact, smile, and display positive body language throughout the interview. Hiring managers often form an opinion within the first few minutes, so make those moments count.

TIP 5 – ASK 3 SMART QUESTIONS AT THE END
One of the biggest mistakes candidates make is saying, “No, I don’t have any questions.”

When the interviewer asks if you would like to ask anything, this is your opportunity to show enthusiasm, intelligence, and genuine interest in the role.

Prepare three smart questions in advance and ask them confidently at the end of the interview.

Doing so demonstrates that you are thinking seriously about the position, the company, and how you can contribute if hired.

3 QUESTIONS TO ASK AT THE END OF AN INTERVIEW 13:48

FINAL THOUGHTS
Passing a job interview is not about luck. It is about preparation. Research the company, study the job description, prepare your answers, make a professional first impression, and ask three smart questions at the end. Follow these five hiring manager tips, and you will significantly increase your chances of standing out from the competition and securing the job offer.
